Best Baby Shower Games - What Games Can You Play at Your Next Baby Shower? Part 1

Everybody knows that games make any party fun. And Baby Showers are no exception. As the baby shower hostess, you are trying to find the perfect games to break the ice and hopefully get in some good belly laughs (no pun intended for Mom-to-Be).

Figuring out which games to play at a baby shower is sometimes a hard decision, but there are a few things to keep in mind before choosing them:

1. Number of guests - some games are better suited for smaller or larger crowds

2. Personalities of the guests - believe me, there are some people who do not enjoy playing games

3. Time constraints - determine if you have time or one or more games; also some showers are set up to have guests drop in and out at their convenience, so games may not be a good idea

4. The supplies you'll need - paper and pens are almost always needed; some require you to purchase items or have them on hand

5. The location of the shower - noisy locations, such as restaurants, may not be suitable for game-playing; also look at the amount of space and seating arrangements so you can determine which games are appropriate

Here are just a few Baby Shower Game Ideas!

Mystery Baby Food Tasting- Buy several jars of baby food and cover the labels. Have each guest smell and taste the food and write down what they think it is. You can pass around one jar at a time or number the jars and have them all going around in different directions at once. You can also provide hints or write down all of the answers in random order if the flavors are too similar. The one with the most correct answers wins.

Baby Songs - Record a CD with songs with the word "BABY" in it (for example, BABY LOVE-DIANA ROSS AND THE SUPREMES.) Play the music during the shower. Turn the music off towards the end of the shower and ask your guests to list all the songs by artist and title. The person who list the most songs WINS. its so much fun to watch, because during the shower everyone is just singing along;now a couple of hours later they can't re-call not one song.

Mystery Baby Diaper Tasting- Buy several different types of candy bars, melt each one, and put them in separate diapers. Have guests taste and smell the diaper and write down their answers. The one with the most correct answers wins.

Baby Bottle Drinking Race - Fill several baby bottles (maybe one for each guest?) with your beverage of choice and have a race to see who drinks the whole bottle through the nipple first. I've heard you can do this with couples showers and fill the bottles with beer for the guys to drink.

Can't Say "Baby" - At the beginning of the shower give each guest 1 or 2 baby pins or clothes pins to pin to their shirt. If someone is caught saying the word "baby" by another guest, she must forfeit a pin to the guest who caught her. You can use this for other words, like "cute" or "precious". The one with the most pins at the end of the shower wins.

Baby Shower BINGO - There are several ways to play this. You can make blank cards with BINGO or STORK across the top. Have the guests write down in the squares the gifts that they think will be opened later. When one of those gifts is opened, the guest marks that spot. Whoever gets 5 marks in a row wins. You could also already have these cards filled out in a random fashion.

Online Free Computer Games - Awesome Games For Free

If you are like me then you love computer games. They take you to a fun filled place far from whatever the reality of your life might currently be. You can race cars, battle off zombies, create a whole world.... you can do anything imaginable. There is only one thing I do not like about computer games, the price. That is why I am extremely excited that there are now so many computer games that are offered for free to play online.

One of the great things about free online games, besides the fact that they are free, is the variety. If you can make a game out of it then someone has thought of it and made it. There are literally thousands of games out there, free to play games, in hundreds of different categories. Since they are free, then if you don't like the game you are playing, then you can always switch to a different one. Before you know it you will be deeply involved in a game that you really enjoy.

Free online games have also evolved quite a bit in recent years and many are offering new features that are hard to pass up. For example, many now sport multiplayer options, allowing you to play and interact with people from across the globe. Then, to kick up the competition and challenge, many games have also added leaderboards showing the top scores that give you more motivation to get better and play harder. There truly is nothing like having your name on the top of a leaderboard for a game that thousands of people play. There are even some very great and in depth free online games available for download that rival and in my opinion beat out a majority of the retail PC games out on the market. So if you haven't tried online free computer games or haven't played any in a few years then now is a perfect time to look at what's available and get to playing one today.

Bachelorette Games - Purse Game

Having a bachelorette party is a time you will remember for the rest of your life. Here is a really easy game that is also a lot of fun.

Purse Game

This game is one of the best bachelorette games you can play. Use this one for a bachelorette party that you're hosting, or your own.

This one is sure to make the party a hit. When everyone is having fun at the party without having to be drunk as a skunk, you know it's a success.

The Purse Game works like this. The woman with the wackiest items in her purse will win. Before the party, assign points to things that you might find in a woman's purse.

Of course, the wackiest or most unusual items get more points. When you're ready to start the bachelorette games, you can mark each woman's name on a card and then proceed with the game.

You will call out each item, and write the point value next to the women's names that had the item in their purse when they arrived at the party. Then you will add them up when the game is over, and whoever has the most points wins.

Some of the things that you might include on the list and possible point value are:

Cell Phone - 10 points Napkins - 5 points A Utility Bill - 20 points A CD - 25 points Any type of food - 55 points Bottle Opener - 60 points Hair tie - 20 points

You can, of course add to the list, and change the point values as you want. This is one of those bachelorette games that everyone will get into.

A great idea is to give bonus points to someone who has something really unusual, or something that's not on the list.

The Gravity Game - Flash Game Review

The Gravity Game is an addictive game, similar to many others. You have a character, a plot, and must adapt to your surroundings in order to avoid dangerous objects. After a strange, unique introduction to the character and his goal, you begin the campaign. To save marshmallows?

The controls are simple, you have a choice whether you want to use the WASD or arrow keys, and space is the only other key that's used. You are gradually eased through the missions and the obstacles that you will encounter more frequently during the later levels. You start off by simply jumping over a wall, which progresses into avoiding spikes and utilizing the gravity changers in order to reach the end of the course. Each course is only small, but requires initiative and perseverance.

There aren't many different types of objects that will pose a threat, however, each level will be structured so you have to do several things in order to advance past it. For example, you have to build up momentum when trapped between gravity facing upwards and gravity facing downwards, creating a trampoline effect. Again, this will be taught during the 'tutorial' levels, but during the difficult missions you will have to remember this.

Trial and error is an aspect you will only be too well familiar with once you have completed this game. Often you simply have to use the gravity changers on each area of the course to see where it leads you, and take this into consideration, then you put two and two together and eventually you will figure out what is needed. This can be frustrating but generally you never quit the game until you have completed whatever is challenging you. Besides, if it becomes too much of a burden then you can always press the walkthrough.

Even though the controls are simple, the game play is far from it. When you have changed the gravity and you are walking along the ceiling or walls, the left and right arrow will corresponding to whatever direction the gravity is in, for example if you are on the ceiling the right arrow is left and vice versa. It can be quite confusing to grasp, especially when trying to jump over an obstacle covered in spikes.

Although the objective is similar to many other games of the same genre, its uniqueness comes with the changing gravity and it can be challenging and mentally draining, yet it's rewarding once you've completed a difficult level, and is thoroughly enjoyable.

Another free flash game involving addictive fun is the balloon game where you pop balloons with darts.
