Flash Games Are Ruling The Market

Gradually with time and technology, the days of video games at arcades are not only fading but also almost facing extinction. And taking over the rule is none other than the most sought after and established free online flash and shockwave games! In fact, online games are being perceived as the future of the interactive entertainment industry.

If you talk to an owner of a game arcade these days, he will tell you that the business is not as lucrative as it used to be. The glamorous flashy image of the game arcades are being largely outcast by the more easily accessible and much cheaper free online games based on flash and shockwave.

The bright and colorful game arcades boasting of beautiful display of flash games in different colors and shapes, outshining each other in their visual appeal, are losing their place and giving way to the online game mania extensively because people are living a hectic and tight schedule. They prefer entertainment at home, especially if it means wider options of games, flexibility of schedule and the expenses reduced to merely Internet and electricity bill.

The prospects of excitement and entertainment offered by game parlors or game arcades cannot be denied. Those who have experienced it can only cherish the fun of collecting money as children to play a game at the arcade or enjoying a game at the arcade as a couple while out on a date. The flash games are enchanting and unfailingly hypnotize as if, into trying them out or at least watch other players play them. They bring alive a superficial impression of any location or environment or situation so vividly that it inspires awe and holds you hooked on.

However, the flash games at game parlors or arcades have their own limitations. First and foremost, you cannot enjoy one or more games incessantly at the very instance of will. Then you cannot switch between games, play game after game for hours together and no money constraint to worry about or no waiting for your turn or no saturation of pocket money after the end of the day.

Can you imagine yourself playing at a game arcade right away after getting out of bed in your night pyjamas? Can you think of playing as well as, in between attending to household chores at a game parlor? Of course not! But you can do all that and more with an Internet connection at home, connecting you to a free online games website!

The flash games are as effective on a personal computer's monitor as it is at a game parlor. The online games also bring you under an impression of being at a huge Hollywood show or a grand casino in Las Vegas. What's more, you can try out many games one by one without any charge or waiting. You can download your favorite games or play them online, as per your own discretion and comfort. Besides, you get to play more variety of games than a regular game arcade can offer.

In fact, the flash and shockwave based games available online are so intriguing and enthralling that people feel hooked on to their computers and end up staying indoors the whole day. Some people enjoy these games so much that they end up being addicts, as you can find them glued up with their personal computers during odd hours as well.

o And is compatible with playback devices.

In the world of Flash enabled games the hosting system is the web server itself. Flash enables web sites to host animated as well as interactive movies and games. There is no paraphernalia required. All that is needed is to download the game itself. The costs are minimal and not recurring.

To play on the web all that is required is: a web browser, a Flash player, and the Internet. Flash is the universal plug in needed to play games. It is installed on every PC with Windows XP and Mac.

Playing online can be fun and most games can now be played by many players from all round the world. Just keep in mind:

The Gravity Game - Flash Game Review

The Gravity Game is an addictive game, similar to many others. You have a character, a plot, and must adapt to your surroundings in order to avoid dangerous objects. After a strange, unique introduction to the character and his goal, you begin the campaign. To save marshmallows?

The controls are simple, you have a choice whether you want to use the WASD or arrow keys, and space is the only other key that's used. You are gradually eased through the missions and the obstacles that you will encounter more frequently during the later levels. You start off by simply jumping over a wall, which progresses into avoiding spikes and utilizing the gravity changers in order to reach the end of the course. Each course is only small, but requires initiative and perseverance.

There aren't many different types of objects that will pose a threat, however, each level will be structured so you have to do several things in order to advance past it. For example, you have to build up momentum when trapped between gravity facing upwards and gravity facing downwards, creating a trampoline effect. Again, this will be taught during the 'tutorial' levels, but during the difficult missions you will have to remember this.

Trial and error is an aspect you will only be too well familiar with once you have completed this game. Often you simply have to use the gravity changers on each area of the course to see where it leads you, and take this into consideration, then you put two and two together and eventually you will figure out what is needed. This can be frustrating but generally you never quit the game until you have completed whatever is challenging you. Besides, if it becomes too much of a burden then you can always press the walkthrough.

Even though the controls are simple, the game play is far from it. When you have changed the gravity and you are walking along the ceiling or walls, the left and right arrow will corresponding to whatever direction the gravity is in, for example if you are on the ceiling the right arrow is left and vice versa. It can be quite confusing to grasp, especially when trying to jump over an obstacle covered in spikes.

Although the objective is similar to many other games of the same genre, its uniqueness comes with the changing gravity and it can be challenging and mentally draining, yet it's rewarding once you've completed a difficult level, and is thoroughly enjoyable.

Another free flash game involving addictive fun is the balloon game where you pop balloons with darts.

Make a Web Game Using Flash Game Source Code Templates

Flash game are very popular among Internet users in recent users, and come in a wide range of categories including sports, action, puzzle, adventure, arcade, casino word search and educational games.

In the past, computer games usually have high CPU and bandwidth requirements because of the use of large size bitmap images. With the increasing popularity of web based games in recent years, Flash has become the mainstream of web game development tool.

There are several benefits of using Flash to create web games versus using other types of software. One important advantage is that Flash games load a lot faster than games developed with other software programs because it is 100% vector based. Flash also comes with many built-in animation effects, which makes it easier for developers to program a colorful, fast loading, smooth running gaming experience for players. Flash compiled animations use very little memory and bandwidth, without compromising on the quality and features of the games. The Flash developer kit from Adobe is also relatively inexpensive as a professional game development software. All these factors have made Flash the best web game development software for web programmers, and made web game easy to develop and addictive to play.

Online web games are not just for kids. According to Casual Games Market Report 2007, an estimated 200 million consumers play casual games online every month. Many of them are working adults who do not regard themselves as fans of video games. Casual games typically are a flash mini game, played on a personal computer online in web browsers. They are usually extremely easy games, like a shooting or golf game that can be played entirely using a one-button mouse or keypad, the overall skill required to play the game is much lower than a traditional game. Players should be able to able to open and play the web game without reading a lengthy introduction to the product. This simple and easy to play aspect of flash casual games has helped grow the industry rapidly.

Flash is a great authoring tool for developing an interactive a web game or casual game. An experienced flash animator can develop a mini flash game within several hours with high quality image and animations. Another advantage is that flash plug in is available for all types of browsers on PC, Mac, or Linux, through a web browser or standalone (e.g. on a 3G phone)

How to make a flash mini game if you are not a game design artists? You can consider create flash games using available flash game templates. Flash game templates are ready to use mini flash games with full source code files. These flash game templates can be customized, modified using Adobe Flash. So you can easily add your own name, logo, text, link or even replaces the graphics. You can buy flash game templates from commercial websites or search online forums for open source flash game source code samples.

Many flash games are developed for free distribution in order to drive traffic to a website and increase a website stickiness. For example, a sport website selling golf clubs, tennis rackets, fishing equipments can put related mini flash games on website for their visitors to play. When a website makes a free flash game available, it would attract a lot more people to visit the website and stay on the website longer. This can help website to increase customer loyalty, brand awareness, and potential to earn revenue from sponsor ads or product sales.

Experiencing exponential expansion and enhancement, hand by hand with the prevalence and popularity of computers and Internet all across the globe - free online arcade games introduce themselves as an occurring industry, which is exciting, addictive, and fascinating at the user end. These free online arcade games are either shockwave or flash based and can be accessed instantly via the internet for playing purpose. The widespread plea of these free games touches the entire groups no matter what the age is. The enhanced quality colorful graphics, in addition to its matching sound effects, turn out these games more thrilling and mind-boggling.

Let's take 2 examples:

First of all, the game Frankie The Fish: it's all about the cruel rule of underground where the survival can only be expected for those fishes that are larger in size.

Struggling to survive, the only way left for you is eating the fishes that are littler compared to you and dodging the fishes that are bigger compared to you. The more you eat the littler ones, the more increase in size of Frankie The Fish is experienced. The truly combination of thrill and excitement is Frankie The Fish. I did a lot at Frankie The Fish, but I'm sure you'll do it much better.

Secondly, The Sundown Shootout is another recently introduced online arcade game packed with a lot of fun, outstanding animation, and heart-breaking excitement. The game is all about the challenge for being the best and the fastest gun around. Just simply firing with your gun is not enough in Sundown Shootout; all it requires for being successful is firing swiftly and accurately at your target. If you wish to gain triumph in this game, you then have to move out in the duels and shoot your opponent until his HP ( health points ) are reduced to zero. You can also earn some handsome money after defeating your opponent and can purchase guns and clothes with the money you earned. Additionally, you can also have fun by playing mini-games such as poker after you finish purchasing your desired items.

Do you want to give it a try?

Do you want to play the games described above? Well, try to reach the maximum score at Frankie The Fish game and also at Sundown Shootout.

Online Flash Games - Cooking Games For Girls

Lets play cooking. The flash cooking games have arrived.

These games are becoming a popular source of enjoyment and learning for kids. Many types of such games are available on the internet. Many are free of cost. There was a time when people couldn't think beyond the conventional games or toys which were really expensive and did not lasted for a long time. The online games are easy to play and free of charge. Kids can find a variety of these on the net by themselves without any guidance. Most of the children like cooking and they may spoil something or endanger themselves unless there is someone who teaches them correctly. These games do this job of helping kids learn what they want. There are games which show how to prepare the breakfast in a particular sequence so that the kids understand and can remember. Kids can learn how to make a cheese sandwich in an easy process that shows preparing slices of bread and then crating the cheese and sprinkling black pepper and salt to it. The kids can also help their parents in cooking meals if not preparing the meal.

All this can be done while playing. If you wish to teach your kids something why not do it by the means of games since games are the best options to pour something into their growing minds. Some parents are worried that their children don't eat some foods for example milk. They could easily make their kids drink or eat food items by the help of these games. The role of nutrients in the meal is very important and kids could be explained this by the means of games. These are so informative and suggestive that children can easily play, understand and then perform the same themselves. One can start cooking in the kitchen and the game on the computer simultaneously in order to give the child a practical idea of the game. Generally the girls are more interested in cooking and hence these are more popular among the girls. It is a fun filled activity that involves learning and repetition. The young minds are innovative and they should be trained to get some creative outputs from them. Several questions arise in the mind that how to find these games, or where to find them? These are easily accessible and free of charge. There is a list of recipes to search for. One should find a recipe that is suitable according to the child's age and get started.

Many people share their views and ideas about cooking including recipes for the convenience of others. Another doubt that keeps us confused is the language barrier. In reply to this, I suggest that these games are often in Asian languages but they are so informative due to the graphics involved that language doesn't remain a barrier in the end. These games are easily downloaded and installed and hence it saves time. You can't judge the fun involved in mountain climbing unless you climb the mountain yourself. So start playing and cooking.

Customizable Flash Games - Rebranding Games For Traffic Or Profit

There is no doubting the rise in popularity of Flash games in recent years, or their use to website owners as a way of increasing traffic and visitor loyalty. Flash games not only attract visitors to a site, they get them coming back time and time again, but more importantly they also get those visitors promoting the site themselves. From sharing games on social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, to embedding the game directly into their own sites and blogs, the power of using visitors to promote games virally shouldn't be underestimated.

Until recently there were essentially 2 ways of acquiring new Flash games. They could either be developed in house by a competent Flash developer, or they could be outsourced. Both methods are expensive and time consuming, but now there is a third approach. By using pre-made, customizable Flash games it's possible to have new branded games added to a site within hours, not weeks.

Customizable Flash games can be rebranded with your own links and logos. That means you can allow your visitors to embed the game into their own sites and blogs, and each time they do you get extra exposure for your brand and site, and extra backlinks which help your search engine rankings.

Apart from customizing the games by changing the logos and links, you can also make changes to the way the games look and play. Whether you simply want to change the color scheme to match you site, or change an in-game character for your own mascot, or even make changes to the gameplay itself, any changes you make will be much faster to implement than building games from scratch.

You can even make money directly by rebranding games for your clients. Simply add your client's logo and links to the games and sell them the SWF game files which they can add to their own site, or give away freely to their own customers. In fact, the possibilities for increasing your profits with customizable Flash games are only limited by your own imagination.

How to Profit From Flash Games - Browser Games to Drive Viral Traffic

Casual online gaming is big business. In recent years, browser games have become more and more popular, with a much wider demographic than ever before. If you're a Flash or Flex developer then you're ideally positioned to take advantage of this. However, even if you're not a developer, be carefully outsourcing the development of games, or by licensing game source code, you have use browser games as a lucrative income source.

In the early days of browser games, they were all about simply driving traffic. In fact, the biggest attraction of Flash games for most developers or site owners today is still their ability to drive large amounts of traffic. A new hot game gets emailed to friends, posted on blogs and MySpace, talked about on Facebook, Twittered, Digged, Stumbled and generally spread around the Internet.

This "viral effect" means that within a very short time of releasing a new game, the site hosting it can expect a great deluge of traffic. If properly set up, even older generic games can have a significant effect on the traffic to a site. This can be compounded by making the game easy to share, by offering cut and paste embed code, social bookmarking buttons, and "tell a friend! Forms.

Traffic is all well and good, but how do you monetise it? If you're a business owner then you already know the value of getting visitors to your site, to sell more products or simply to promote your brand. If you're a developer however there are a number of different solutions.

The simplest way to make money from a game is to sell it, not to the players, but to another site owner. Many businesses will pay considerable money for exclusive or rebranded games which they can offer to their visitors and customers.

An alternative to selling a game, is a sponsorship deal. Sponsorship usually comes from one of the big gaming portals, such as Kongregate or AddictingGames. They will pay the developer for having their logo embedded into the game, and a sponsorship deal not only generates immediate revenue, but often massively increased exposure as the sponsoring site will promote the game.

Monetizing the game through your own site can be as simple as placing AdSense adverts or banner ads on the page. Traditionally AdSense has performed weakly on games sites due to the lack of keyword rich text, but by carefully structuring the page it's possible to get a reasonable CTR.

Finally, in-game adverts are now available from a number of advertising networks, most notably Mochiads. Not only are you paid for adverts shown within your game (normally as the game is loaded) but the network also distributes the game for you, giving you increased exposure and therefore increasing your potential profits. Recently, several of these networks have also added in-game micro-payments which are a new but potentially very lucrative form of revenue.

With browser gaming continuing to grow in popularity, it has never been a better time to enter the online gaming world. Whether you're a developer or not, there is nothing stopping you from increasing your traffic and/or profits by leveraging the power of Flash games.

Licensing Flash Games - Browser Games Without the Restrictive Costs

Browser games, such as Flash games and Java games, have now been around for over 10 year and recently their popularity has seen a marked increase.  The growth of social media platforms such as Facebook have taken casual Flash games from geekdom to mainstream audiences, and as such Flash game developers are in greater demand than ever.

There is good reason why there is a high demand on developers, Flash games attract visitors, increase brand loyalty, and encourage visitors to promote a site by sharing it on social networks and linking to it.

The problem with Flash games however can be the cost.  Whether you develop games in-house, or hire a developer, there is a significant cost involved.  If you choose to develop games in house you or one of your staff need to become competent in Flash and Actionscript, and learn how to use those tools to develop games.  That can take many months of studying and learning.

Hiring a developer can cost upwards of a few thousand dollars for a simple puzzle or action game.  There is now however a more affordable and accessible option, of licensing existing Flash games.

A number of companies are offering licenses to their games, normally costing a few hundred dollars per game, and with a limited license allowing the game only to be used on one domain.  It is however possible to get less restrictive licenses which grant you access to multiple games, allow you use of the games across multiple domains, and in some instances even allow you to modify and rebrand the games to sell on to your customers.

There are multiple advantages to this type of licensing agreement.  Primarily of course, costs are much lower than having bespoke games developed.  Secondly, since the games are already developed you can deploy almost instantly, rather than waiting for development and testing.  Thirdly, since the games are pre-developed and tested you know they are proven designs and robust enough for publishing on your sites without worrying.

Casual gaming is certainly on the rise, and while some companies are embracing browser games as a great way to increase traffic to their sites, and improve brand loyalty, others are being left behind.  With the option of licensing flash games taking away the major hurdles of expense and long development times, this form of marketing is now available to everyone.  I predict that licensing Flash games will become more and more popular, and those who are first to adopt this method of marketing will be the ones who benefit the most.

Billy has been involved in the Flash games industry since early 2002 as both a developer and a publisher. In 2009 he formed ViralFlashGames.com, specialising in licensing Flash games and offering unrestrictive licenses or rebrandable games to his customers. He also teaches games development with an online Flash games course at FlashGamesClassroom.com
